Helping Victims of Domestic Abuse

Domestic abuse is a pattern of physical, emotional and/or sexual abuse used by one intimate partner to obtain and maintain power and control over the other. Domestic abuse crosses all ethnic, religious, and educational and socio economic lines. Domestic abuse occurs with our neighbors, family, friends employees, and neighbors. Children in homes where domestic abuse occurs are profoundly affected emotionally and psychologically by witnessing the abuse and are at high risk of becoming victims or even perpetrators themselves later in life.

Safe Shelter of St. Vrain Valley provides a comprehensive system of programs and services to address the needs of victims of domestic abuse:
Our services include:
• 24-hour crisis line
• Emergency shelter
• Individual and group counseling
• Case management (including transitional housing programs)
• Information and referrals
