What Is the #ImWorthItChallenge?
Many individuals in abusive relationships are made to feel like they don’t matter or aren’t valuable. At Safe Shelter, we know this couldn’t be further from the truth. Everyone deserves to feel valued, self-sufficient, and worthy of love and respect.
That’s why we’re launching the #ImWorthItChallenge during Domestic Violence Awareness Month this October—to remind everyone that, no matter what, you are worth it.
Why Participate?
By participating in the #ImWorthItChallenge, you’re helping us raise awareness about domestic violence and sending a message of empowerment to survivors everywhere. Every video, every post, and every share helps shine a light on the importance of knowing your value, regardless of what others may say or do.
Make a Video: Start by recording a short video where you declare your worth. You can say something as simple as “I’m worth it because [your reason].”
Challenge Someone Else: At the end of your video, challenge at least one person to do the same by saying, “I challenge [name] to share why they’re worth it.”
Post Your Video: Upload your video to Instagram and tag @SafeShelterCo and the person you’re challenging. Don’t forget to include the hashtag #ImWorthItChallenge in your post!
Spread the Message: Encourage others to keep the chain going. Together, we can create a powerful ripple effect of self-worth, awareness, and support.
