COMMUNITY EDUCATION

Our staff can provide presentations, workshops, targeted training and in-service sessions for your community or faith-based group, organization and/or business. Topics can include information on the dynamics of abuse, identifying trouble signals, prevention strategies for dealing with violent relationships and how to access available resources. Teens Ending Relationship Abuse (TERA) is a peer education, leadership development program for classrooms and groups. Through TERA, teen facilitators are trained to work with our staff to educate their peers about dating violence and healthy relationships.

Coaching Boys Into Men is a 12-session evidenced-based curriculum providing high school athletic coaches with the training and resources they need to promote respectful behavior among their players and help prevent relationship abuse, harassment, and sexual assault. Athletes As Leaders™ is a program for high school athletes on girls’ sports teams.  The program aims to empower female-identified youth to take an active role in promoting healthy relationships and ending sexual violence. Athletes are encouraged to be leaders in changing social norms at the school to a culture of safety and respect.
